Quick Change In Action
Amazing quick change challenge:
watch as I disconnect the pallet forks and attach the small tooth bucket in 15
seconds without getting off of the tractor! (15 seconds, 218K)
Amazing quick change challenge II (the
sequel): see the same thing from the operator's viewpoint. I took this
video while operating the tractor with one hand and the camera with the other.
It's just too easy to change implements with the quick attach system. (28
seconds, 363K)
Small Tooth Bucket Videos
Taking a big bite of soil
using the small tooth bucket while installing a parking place next to our
driveway. (14 seconds, 206K)
Excavating some frozen soil
about an inch deep. Notice the tractor snap forward towards the end of the
video. (20 seconds, 267K)
Backgrading with the small
tooth bucket in float position. (30 seconds, 393K)
Great example of the
maneuverability of the PT425. (55 seconds, 693K)
All done, shows the tight turning
radius in the driveway. (31 seconds, 405K)
Snow Blade Videos
Hooking up the power angle
hydraulic hoses. ( 16 seconds, 227K)
Power tilt. (7 seconds, 114K)
Power angle. Wide shot from the
left side shows full motion. (12 seconds, 177K)
Power angle. Close up from
right side. (9 seconds, K141)
Snow plowing 1 High speed
reverse. Looks weird because the camera is close to the ground with a wide
angle lens. Top speed is 8MPH. (12 seconds, 179K)
Snow plowing 2 (24 seconds,
322K)
Snow plowing 3 Tight turning
and close up of plow. (30 seconds, 390K)
Snow plowing 4 Scraping
asphalt and power tilt view. (21 seconds, 285K)
Fork Lift Test
Big Log! This huge log is 27" in diameter at the narrow end, 37" in diameter at the wide end and 53" long. It was sitting in my back yard for a few years. I can't estimate the weight, but I can only budge one end a couple of inches with my 200+ pounds on the end of a 5 foot pry bar. I used the pallet forks, lifted it about 6 inches and backed up, which caused the right rear tire to come off the ground a few inches. I lowered it down to 1 inch off the ground and the tractor came back down. Took it away like this.
Brush Hog In Action
New August 2007: This video shows the 2001 model PT425 with the mighty Kohler engine climbing a hill in the woods while brush hogging. The tires start slipping, so I transfer the weight of the brush hog to the tractor’s front tires with a flick of the joystick. Works great. Then I choke the hog on a log and have to turn off the PTO and restart. Hey, what can I say??? Operator error. LARGE video file is almost 14M in size, so I suggest saving it to your PC before attempting to watch.
Check out this video of the PT425 and 48" brush hog in action! The clip is 30 seconds and about 400K in size. The weeds are over my head and thick. It took me about 2 minutes to cut a swath 100 yards long and two passes wide. I was impressed.
Something's lurking in the brush!!! It's a PT425.
Here's a time-lapse movie of the PT425 clearing a small field.
And here's a great movie that illustrates why a front-mounted brush hog is superior to anything else. This is one large multiflora rose bush! On the first pass I knock it off it's roots. Then, to keep it in front of the camera, I make several passes to chew it into tiny bits and pieces.
